A NARUHINA FANFIC.

CHAPTER 1 – New School, New Friends, New enemies, New Life.

** SURVIVING HIGH SCHOOL**

"HINATA!!!!THAT'S IT!! I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOU! YOU DON'T DO ANYTHING RIGHT! YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY WORTHLESS!! NO LONGER AM I GOING TO CALL YOU A DAUGHTER OF MINE!! PACK YOUR STUFF AND GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!!"

My father's words replayed over and over in my head as I stared out the car window, I unconsciously rubbed my sore shoulder from the bruise where Hiashi (I couldn't even call him father anymore) had hit me. I could also tell that a bruise was forming on my cheek, but I was too sad to give it any thought.

I looked over to my mother, Hikari who was driving towards her home with tears trickling down her cheeks. She shouldn't have had to see my father hit me, but I was happy she came when she did, or else I would have many more bruises over my body.

The car pulled up to the garage of my new home. It was small, but I had a feeling I'd enjoy it much more than my old home.

When I stepped out of the car, I was surprised to see my purple and black motorbike already sitting in the corner. I hardly ever rode it anymore; my father banned me from dirt-bike racing a long time ago, so I decided to buy myself an ordinary motorbike to ride around town. But my father didn't like that idea either, after his 'punishment' for not telling him before I got the bike, I never rode again.

I walked through the front door and followed Mum into the hall. She took me to an empty room with a bed in it, which was soon to be mine.

After dumping my luggage onto the floor she looked up at me with a somewhat forced smile, "Get comfortable, Hinata, welcome to your new home."

"Thanks, Mum," I replied and started unpacking all of my luggage and put it in the empty cupboards and dresser.

The week went by slowly, and after all of my things were unloaded mum had already got me filled in to go to Konoha High School which was just around the corner from where we live. I wasn't excited to going to high school, I'd always been home-schooled before, but I tried to think of it as a great experience.

"Mum!! I'm going to the club tonight!! It's under-age, okay? And Shino and Shikamaru are gonna meet me there!!" I yelled out to my mother as I walked into the garage and jumped onto my motorbike, thanking myself for wearing jeans instead of that skirt I was thinking about wearing.

I gently put my helmet on, glancing down at my attire. I was wearing a dark grey singlet, and a purple hooded-jacket, which I wore unzipped. Smiling to myself, I pulled my keys into the opening and revved the engine a few times, grinning at how well it was working after all these years.

And with that thought, I drove out of the garage and onto the streets of the little town, Konoha.

That's when I saw it. A bright orange motorbike that looked exactly like mine but it had black flames around the tail as a paint job. Even I – yes stubborn me, - had to admit that it was one awesome bike. And I was just a tiny bit jealous. So I decided to show this guy that my bike was better than his.
Revving the engine, I locked eyes – well, it was more of helmets, since I couldn't really see the eyes of the guy – and sped up, which he took as a challenge. I grinned when he started speeding down the road, with me tailing him. Then I decided to take things up a notch. I cut him off when taking a corner, speeding in front with a smirk so he was the one tailing me. I enjoyed the air whooshing past my face, the feel of my hair, fluttering behind me. I was enjoying the race when I saw a police car in front of me and slammed on the breaks, changing to move at an acceptable speed with the orange-bike-guy doing the same thing behind me.

We caught a look at each other and nodded slightly, this wasn't over. If I caught him riding around town again, I'll be ready to kick his ass. Then I lost sight of him as I did a U turn and headed towards the club, where I was supposed to be five minutes ago.

** SURVIVING HIGH SCHOOL**

"Shika!! Shino!!" I called out as I walked through the wooden front doors of the Konoha Club. I saw the duo sitting at the bar – drinking. Shikamaru and Shino were both two years older than me, both eighteen. So they were able to drink.  I only knew them because they work at the same place as me – Konoha Café. We became fast friends after that; they were like my overprotective older brothers. Well, them and Choji, who was the chef of the café we worked at. But he was only seventeen, but still older than me by a year.

"What took you so long, Hinata?" Shikamaru sighed.

I smirked, "Some guy had a motorbike, so I had to challenge him to a race."

Shino nodded, he wasn't surprised, "But I am surprised you haven't got caught for speeding yet."

I giggled gently, "Hey! I just got my motorbike back! I had to test it out."

"So you're finally away from your father, eh? How is that going, living with your mum?" Shikamaru asked, changing the subject.

I smiled, "Awesome. I mean, she let me come here, right? I didn't have to sneak out."

"What about that bruise, Hinata?" Shino noticed. "You've really got to sue your father for child abuse or something, it's not good for you and I don't like it."

I enjoyed how caring these guys were, "Guys, its fine. I'm with mum now, so it's all over."

Shikamaru nodded, putting his beer up to his mouth, "Finally."

"So how are you guys going?" I asked.

Shino answered first, "Fine, actually. Kimmi and I are living together now."

Kimmi was Shino's girlfriend, she was lovely. We met once at the café but we couldn't talk much, but she always had a bright smile on her face, "How about you Shika? Still single?" I asked, wiggling my eyebrows jokingly.

He chuckled, "Absolutely, and loving every minute of it."

I smiled brightly, "Same here!" and grabbed an empty glass just to cling it against his. They both laughed at that. I looked down at the empty glass and decided, "Actually I am pretty thirsty. This glass ain't gonna do me any good. Be right back guys."

I got up and headed over to the bar with the distant, "No alcohol!" yell from Shikamaru which made me smirk.

** SURVIVING HIGH SCHOOL**

BUZZ!! BUZZ!! BUZZ!! My eyes flew open as I flung my hand forwards, slamming it onto the top of my alarm clock. I slammed a little bit too hard, judging by the crack of protest coming from the clock. It wouldn't last many days of that.

Ignoring that I slumped over to my dresser and pulled out the white shirt and black skirt and tie that was my new school uniform. I quickly had a shower and brushed through my waist length bluish-black hair and wandered into the kitchen.

"Hey Hon, what would you like for breakfast?" Mum asked flipping an egg in a saucepan.

"Just a slice of toast, thanks mum," I said with a small smile.

"That's no fun," She said with a frown, then turned to face me, "Oh! Hon, uh… you still have that bruise on your cheek," She whispered, looking down.

"I know," I also avoided eye contact as it was a very touchy subject, "It's finally starting to fade, so after a day or two I'll be fine."

After devouring my toast in three bites and brushing my teeth, I quickly put my shoes on and walked out the door with a quick 'See you tonight' to mum.

In a matter of minutes I was at the front gate of Konoha High, admiring the cars in the park, and almost getting run over by a red Mercedes.

I quickly dodged the car as it parked next to the bright orange and black motorbike I was staring at. The bike was somehow familiar. My eyes widened and I grinned in realisation; it was the bike I was racing on my way to the club. I never would've guessed that the owner would've went to my new school.

My thoughts were dropped when I turned to the owner of the red Mercedes who, surprisingly, had pink hair, and was calling me over.

"I'm so sorry!" She apologised, "I almost ran you over- hey! Are you new here? I'm Sakura Haruno, what's your name?" She asked with a smile.

She was really pretty, with bright shining green eyes, and pink hair, she had a black ribbon in her hair, pulling it back, which matcher her school uniform. I smiled at her.

"Hi, my name's Hinata Hyuuga," I said shyly.

"What's your homeroom?" Sakura asked enthusiastically.

"Umm… room 21," I recalled.

"Well, come on, I'll show you the way!" She grabbed me by the arm and started dragging me across the path.

She suddenly got a little distracted, "Sorry, I gotta go say 'hi' to my boyfriend. Our homeroom is just down the hall on the left. I'll see you there!" She smiled apologetically.

"Don't worry, that's fine thanks," I said with a smile as I walked down the path Sakura had pointed out.

BAM! I suddenly found myself on the floor; I looked up into the sky-blue eyes of the person I crashed into.

He looked down to me and smiled holding out his hand, "Sorry, I probably should watch where I'm going. Hey, I haven't seen you around before, I'm Naruto Uzumaki!"

He was hot. My eyes scanned across his blond spiky hair and crystal blue eyes, he had three whisker marks on each cheek and he was pretty tall. But I guess that's just because I'm short, but you get what I mean. I could tell just by looking at him that he had a fully muscled chest and abs. I blushed and quickly took his hand and he pulled me up with ease. "I'm Hinata, Hinata Hyuuga."

"Oh did I do that to you? I'm sorry." He said looking at my bruise on my left cheek.

"No, that wasn't you. Don't worry about it," I said with a hint of sadness in my voice.

He looked up to me – well, down to me – in curiousness for a moment, "Well, where are you going?"

"Room 21."  I said trying to control my blush.

"Cool! Same as me. Come on then," and for the second time today I was dragged through the hall.

We walked into the classroom which surprisingly was fairly empty, "Where is everyone?" I turned to Naruto.

"Oh, this is Kakashi-sensei's class, he's always half an hour late, so people don't bother coming on time." Naruto explained.

Suddenly I felt an arm slide around my waist, I jumped and squirmed but they wouldn't let go of me, "Let Go!" I mumbled and turned to face the guy. He had brown spiky hair, brown eyes and red triangle tattoos on each cheek.

"No thanks, I enjoy a cute girl in her arms," He said squeezing me tighter.

"Let her go, NOW!" Naruto growled from next to me, fists clenched.

After he didn't respond Naruto threw a punch at him, hitting him on the left cheek, he was being careful not to hit me, I guess sometimes its lucky being short. I was so glad there wasn't a teacher in the room either, so Naruto didn't get in trouble.

As soon as he loosened his grip slightly I manoeuvred out of his hands and stepped next to Naruto who was fuming.

I looked up to Naruto when he put his hands on my shoulders for comfort but you could tell by his facial expression he was angry, "Kiba! What do you think you're doing?!" He growled.

"Introducing myself," He smiled, taking a step closer to us, making me press my back against Naruto's chest, but he kept his ground behind with me with still clenched fists.

"Just back off, Kiba."

"You just want her for yourself!! I know you do." He said taking another step towards us.

"I said it once and I'll say it again. Leave. Hinata. Alone!" He took a slight step so he was in front of me now.

"She probably wants me! Did you think about that?" Kiba growled trying to look around Naruto.

Naruto took a quick glance to me over his shoulder and by the glare I was sending Kiba, he knew I didn't want him.
Naruto then turned back to Kiba and was about to say something when he was interrupted by.

"Hey! DOBE!! What's taking you so long?!"

We all turned to the voice and saw a rather good-looking raven haired guy followed by the girl I met in the car park – Sakura.

Then they all noticed Naruto's protective position in front of me and how we were glaring at Kiba.

"Okay, what's going on? Hey! Is that Hinata?" Sakura said, surprised.

I turned my head towards her, still keeping a watch of Kiba in the corner of my eye, "Hey Sakura." I said the same time Naruto said, "You know Hinata?"

"Yeah we met in the car park. Oh and this is Sasuke," she said pointing to the handsome raven haired guy next to her. His hair was in a way I had never seen before, but it looked good on him, he had onyx eyes, and was about the same size as Naruto, in both height, and strength.

"What did Kiba do?" Sasuke asked suddenly.

"He couldn't keep his hands to himself," Naruto growled, turning back to Kiba.

"He did WHAT?!" Sakura fumed.

"I introduced myself to Hinata here," Kiba spat at Sakura.

"Don't talk to her like that," Sasuke growled standing next to Naruto now.

Suddenly the door burst open and a grey haired man with a mask covering his nose and mouth stepped into the classroom.

"Sorry I'm late. It's because I was walking by and a wheelchair–"

"LIAR!!" The class yelled at him.

He was silent for a second "… Anyway, we have a new student here. Her name is Hinata Hyuuga, come to the front and introduce yourself Hinata."

I looked around the class for a second before walking up to the front of the class, making sure not to walk by Kiba who winked at me, earning him a glare.

"Hi. My name is Hinata Hyuuga, and I moved here about a week ago from the city." Everyone stared at me in curiosity as they quickly took their seats.

"Okay, Miss Hyuuga," Kakashi-sensei started, "Go take a seat next to Kiba. Kiba raise your hand so Hinata knows who you are."

My eyes widened. "WHAT?!" I saw Naruto jump out of his chair glaring at Kakashi.

"NARUTO! Sit down! And Hinata, take your seat please."

I looked at Kiba, who had a huge smile spread across his face. I let out a shiver and slowly walked over to the seat next to him.

I moved my chair as far away from him as possible but it didn't help that he kept moving closer. I could feel Naruto's eyes on Kiba, which made me feel a little bit safer, so I just concentrated very hard on my work, trying to ignore Kiba.

About half way through the lesson, I felt something warm touch my cheek. I let out a small shriek and nearly fell off my chair but quickly regained my balance as the hand was retracted from my face.

"Excuse me?" I asked rather angrily.

He spoke like I hadn't said anything, "Who did that to you gorgeous?" Kiba asked concentrating on my fading bruise.

"None of your business," I growled under my breath.

"Somebody's feisty. I like that," he winked.

I almost puked and this time I did fall off my chair. I saw his hands come out to catch me but I twisted my torso so he wouldn't catch me, I would much rather land on the floor. And I did.

Now I was happy for the six years of forced ballet. Since I was very flexible I was able to slide out of his grasp. Even if it meant landing on the floor.

The whole class went silent and turned to me. I blushed in embarrassment and picked myself off the floor, ignoring the stares.

I stared at my seat for a couple seconds; I really didn't want to sit back down. But I had no other choice. So I hesitantly sat on my chair and ignored Kiba when he asked me if I was alright.
